Senior Blade Repair Technicians

Rope Partner has an immediate need for experienced wind turbine rope access blade repair technicians that are looking to become senior fiberglass technicians with the company.

  • 3+ years of wind turbine composite blade repair experience. (2+ considered)
  • SPRAT Level 3 supervisor certification. Applicants holding IRATA certification or lower levels of SPRAT certification with strong backgrounds in composite blade repair are still encouraged to apply
  • Proven ability to work safely. You will be an expert at hazard identification and mitigation
  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, email and general computer use for report writing and record keeping
  • Must be ready and willing to undertake extensive travel and time away from home during projects
  • Able to legally work in the United States
  • Legal ability to work in additional countries/regions would be seen as advantageous although not required.

WindCorps® Technicians
  • Currently recruiting technicians of all three SPRAT levels (1, 2 & 3)
  • Must be ready and willing to undertake extensive travel and time away from home
  • Mechanical aptitude and/or fiberglass experience preferred
  • Ability to safely identify and mitigate hazards
  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, email and general computer use
  • Able to legally work in the United States
  • Legal ability to work in additional countries/regions would be seen as advantageous
  • Candidates that do not currently meet the minimum SPRAT Level 1 requirement to apply are strongly urged to participate in one of Rope Partner’s rope access training courses before applying. Of course you don’t have to take a SPRAT course with us; however it will give you the opportunity to interact with us at our office during that week.
Controller

Rope Partner, the original provider of rope access services for the renewable wind industry in North America, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Controller located in Santa Cruz, CA!

The position requires a highly skilled accounting professional with superior managerial capabilities and experience (position will directly supervise accounting team of two, and Logistics Manager), solid accounting and analytical skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication. The position requires the ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the organization, and external parties, including strong presentation skills.

The primary responsibilities of the position include all elements leading to the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reporting, as well as the analysis of financial data. Reporting to the CEO, the position will have direct responsibility for all matters connected with the Company’s financial reporting processes

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct all accounting, payroll, invoicing, cash applications, and accounts payable functions; direct and oversee all accounting processes leading to close of general ledger and financial reporting process. Keep accounting knowledge current and maintain integrity of financial records and reporting requirements. Work closely with bank to manage Line of Credit.
  • Provide management and leadership with both routine and periodic financial reporting, aiding in analysis of operations to assist in decision-making.
  • Effectively present financials and participate in strategy discussions at Board and management off-site meetings.
  • Work with functional managers to prepare annual forecast and prepare actual to forecast variance analysis monthly.
  • Manage all internal and external audit activities including preparation, presentation, consultation, and review. Conduct reviews and audits of Sales & Use Tax returns and Workman’s Compensation. Liaison to external CPA firms for preparation of audit and tax preparation packages
  • Develop and implement, direct and measure goals, projects, policies, procedures, methods, and controls as established by management. Oversee benefits programs and assist in HR policy development and implementation
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from four-year University or college. CPA a plus

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from four-year University or college. CPA a plus
  • 8+ years’ hands-on accounting experience in multi-location service environment, handling general ledger and inventory responsibilities, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common accounting journals, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Ability to effectively present and clarify information to associates, leadership team, board, and public groups
  • Strong managerial and organization skills with a focus on day-to-day operations using QB Enterprise Accounting Systems, Salesforce, DB Sync, Concur, and Microsoft 365, including advanced Excel
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
