Senior Blade Repair Technicians

Rope Partner has an immediate need for experienced wind turbine rope access blade repair technicians that are looking to become senior fiberglass technicians with the company.

  • 3+ years of wind turbine composite blade repair experience. (2+ considered)

  • SPRAT Level 3 supervisor certification. Applicants holding IRATA certification or lower levels of SPRAT certification with strong backgrounds in composite blade repair are still encouraged to apply

  • Proven ability to work safely. You will be an expert at hazard identification and mitigation

  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, email and general computer use for report writing and record keeping

  • Must be ready and willing to undertake extensive travel and time away from home during projects

  • Legal ability to work in additional countries/regions would be seen as advantageous although not required

WindCorps® Technicians

  • Currently recruiting technicians of all three SPRAT levels (1, 2 & 3)

  • Must be ready and willing to undertake extensive travel and time away from home

  • Mechanical aptitude and/or fiberglass experience preferred

  • Ability to safely identify and mitigate hazards

  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, email and general computer use

  • Able to legally work in the United States

  • Legal ability to work in additional countries/regions would be seen as advantageous

  • Candidates that do not currently meet the minimum SPRAT Level 1 requirement to apply are strongly urged to participate in one of Rope Partner’s rope access training courses before applying. Of course you don’t have to take a SPRAT course with us; however it will give you the opportunity to interact with us at our office during that week.

Blade Inspectors (Ground Based)

As a member of Rope Partner Blade Services Team, your job will be to travel to different sites, shoot wind turbine blade inspection photos with a SLR ground based-camera, analyze inspection photos, identify and classify damages, and report on the findings. There is a future potential to become trained and involved in drone inspections. This would be similar in scope as above, except for taking photos with a drone instead of a ground-based camera.

This is a seasonal traveling job. Our high season generally runs between June and October. It is not guaranteed, but still possible to have some work during the shoulder months. You will be required to have availability up to 4-5 week tours in the field with 1-2 week breaks at home during our high season. Up to 20hrs/week of reporting may be required during your times at home.

The Blade Inspectors will report to the Technician Manager, but work directly with the On Ground Photo Inspection Coordinator and Project Management to ensure all requirements of the projects are successfully completed.

You must be able to exemplify the company values of integrity, professionalism, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude in all the interactions required both internally and with our clients. Company training will be available to develop the necessary skills for this role.

This position will be part time beginning in April and become full time through our busy summer season.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Travel into the field across the US to different wind farms for 4-5 week tours during our high season

  • Shoot high-quality inspection photos of wind turbine blades

  • Manage and analyze a large number of inspection photographs

  • Consistently identify and classify damages on the wind turbine blades evident in the photos

  • Work with the Ground/Drone Photo Inspection Coordinator to learn, improve, and ensure you have a clear understanding of deliverables, damage identification, and quality expectations

  • Adhere to the Technician Manager’s policies

  • Legal ability to work in additional countries/regions would be seen as advantageous

  • Adhere to all company values and promote a positive attitude within the company


  • Superior oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Proven success working in a team

  • Solid computer skills, including strong skills with Microsoft Office and cloud sharing software

  • Salesforce data entry experience (Preferred)

  • Knowledge of the structure of wind turbine blades, their performance characteristics and how to properly inspect and assess damages (Preferred)

  • Prior experience and competency in industrial photography (Preferred)
